Will luck determine your business success in 2008?

This is a reminder for businesses interested in increasing the business they do with Unified Govt of Wyandotte County, Kansas City Kansas, and prime contractors they have M/W/D/LBE utilization agreements with.

Great effort and advocacy have been taken to formally address the statistically significant disparity found in a government-sanctioned disparity report. The link below is one of your first steps to helping UG and business development agencies put your business on the radar for govt departments and representatives from companies seeking to do business with them via prime contracts. Even if you do not have your minority or women business enterprise certification completed yet, you should take time to register your business now and submit your certification later. Unified Government and companies that win their contracts are not only seeking contractors for construction, but a variety of services that range from consulting to youth services are always being procured by govt. When you begin to register at the link below, you will notice drop-down lists that cover a wide range of products and services procured by local government department. It takes less than 30 minutes if your are Internet savvy and you can go back, login and make any additions or changes at a later date.

If you have already registered your business, share this information with other Black, women or minority business owners you know. We would like to see the hundreds of existing Black businesses (and organizations that provide services) in the Greater Kansas City Kansas area registered because merely complaining about disparity isn't going to be enough to garner you more business. Assistance on properly registering your business and information on regional contracting opportunities is available for business owners residing in Wyandotte, Leavenworth or Johnson county. Call IBSA at 913-240-6247 to speak with a business development counselor.
