WANTED: Small, Minority, Women Owned Businesses

Not an agency to wait and react, but one to be proactive, IBSA is requesting that minority, women and small businesses interested in staying informed about the contracting opportunities send us your contact information and area of business interest so that we can have it on file as different bidding and procurement opportunities come up in Wyandotte and Leavenworth County Kansas. Our agency will play a role in identifying businesses and will be working with those ready to compete for work and those needing additional assistance preparing their paperwork and structuring their business to reach capacity. These are exciting times and there's plenty of room for those willing to step to the plate of opportunity.

As contracting opportunities and networking functions surrounding the upcoming $700M+ casino/hotel come up, we want to ensure you and interested business owners receive the information in a timely fashion so that you can do your best to prepare and compete for available work.

From construction to providing products and services that sustain business operations such as restaurants, maintenance, or driving & delivery,,, every imaginable opportunity lay available for those enterprising enough to walk onto the scene and try to get a piece of the action.

After the decision is made on which proposal will be chosen to develop and manage the Wyandotte County Destination Casino and Resort, the real work will begin. Goals have been set regarding M/W/LBE utilization and to assure diversity in employment. We want to ensure the developer can live up to the expectations and goals of the agreements they sign.

If you have any questions or know of any African American, women or minority contractors that may be interested in these and other procurement opportunities, send us an email (preferred) or call 913-240-6247.

Individual counseling and business development assistance is available from a variety of agencies capable of helping you take advantage of immediate opportunities and can help you prepare for those that will continue to exist long after construction is done.
